Call for Projects 2025: the next generation
Because giving young people a taste of the future is our cause, we want to open the minds of the next generation to the possibilities of tomorrow. What if cocoa were a vehicle for commitment and opportunity?
Why applying ?
You are a non profit organization shaping a fairer and a more sustainable world? Apply to our first call for projects before June 3, 2025!
The call for projects is structured around two approaches:
- Passion: support new or inter-generational initiatives in the Equatorial Belt to promote local gastronomy and culture through the cocoa industry.
- Planet: accelerate the agro-ecological transition to preserve our planet and empower young producers and engineers towards sustainable cocoa farming.
In practice
- Prize: 100,000 Euros for this first edition.
- Laureates: 2 to 4 projects with grants ranging from 15,000 to 50,000 euros.
Project Selection criterias
To apply, you must meet the following conditions:
- Your organization must be a non-profit organization.
- Your organization must be eligible for patronage in France or based in one of the member states of Transnational Giving Europe.
- Your project must fall within one of the two approaches (Passion or Planet).
- Your project must be carried out in a cocoa-producing Equatorial Belt country.

- April 8, 2025: opening of the call for projects
- June 3, 2025: closing of the call for projets at 11:59 p.m.
- June 4 to June 24, 2025: review of applications
- End of June 2025: announcement of shortlisted projects for the orals
- First half of July 2025: orals for shortlisted projects
- September 2025: Valrhona employees vote and winners announcement
